Currents - Road Test - A Flat-Pack Christmas Tree in Recycled Cardboard - NYTimes.com:

The flat-pack Christmas tree is an idea whose time is clearly upon us. Penitent in its post-consumer cardboard brown, and shyly priced at $22.95, the three-foot-high tree strikes a note of muted festivity and dampened expectations. Plus, it took only five minutes to assemble, a boon to the overworked or very nervous. Boomerang-shaped punch-outs created abstract pine boughs, and were handy for tucking in the punch-out candy canes, stars and balls included in the kit.
